Software architect is responsible for the technical direction of a project. Makes high level design choices for the software structure, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms. Determines coding practices, development tools, and validation requirements. Performs pathfinding and surveys technologies. Interacts with multiple technologists in the company and within the industry as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.RF Subsystem Software Architect is responsible for SW architecture and high level design of RF sub-system on Cellular Modem Platform. The RF sub-system consists of control architecture for RF transceiver and RF-Baseband interfacing, on the Baseband side. Responsibilities will also include providing architecture and interface specifications to development teams, working closely with HW, Modem FW and system verification teams from different geographies, participating in cross-functional teams for feature and product development, and proposing architecture and efficiency improvements for existing solutions

Desired profile

Qualifications

Bachelors/Master's/PhD in EE/CS from a recognized university. The candidate should be well-versed in RF inter working, RF-Baseband interface and must have expertise in the physical layer protocols of at least one of the cellular radio access technologies GSM/GPRS, UMTS, TDSCDMA, CDMA2000, LTE. The candidate must have experience in SW architecture definition of real-time communication driver sub-systems, and must have end-to-end system knowledge of the concerned sub-systems. Knowledge of RF and Baseband factory calibration and production testing is a plus. Expertise is needed in coding with C/C++, strong fundamentals in RTOS, multi-threaded and multi-processor concepts. . The candidate must have excellent communication skills, must be self-motivated, a team-player and show hands-on approach. Ability to work well both independently and in a diverse team environment.
