Job Description

An opportunity for a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface UEFI FW Developer is available. Develop UEFI FW, reference code and related documentation to enable Intel silicon products dedicated to server market such as next generation's chipsets and CPUs.
Work closely with Intel silicon design teams and be involved in SW and especially UEFI FW related subjects during planning, development, validation and enabling stages of servers programs.

You will be working on Intel next generations products and will have an opportunity to gain an experience with best in class server technologies like performance efficient power management, servers' manageability etc.

You will be a part of the team providing UEFI FW components enabling crucial technologies for many Intel server platforms, for example: 3D Xpoint - the newest NVRAM memory, 5G, PCIe Gen4, Software Guard Extensions. The server programs covered by the team are targeted not only for traditional enterprise server customers but also cover clouds, automotive and mobile networks solutions.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Understand server platforms requirements
  • Architecture and design UEFI FW solutions
  • Develop UEFI FW in C language
  • Unit test developed UEFI FW
  • Debug UEFI FW
  • Integrate UEFI FW with other server HW and SW platform components, like CPU, PCH, FW, OS etc.

This requisition is part of the Data Center Engineering Group (DEG).

Qualifications

  • Experience in programming in C
  • Knowledge of Intel architecture: x86, x64
  • Working with layered designs, software patterns for embedded systems and resource management
  • Good team work and cooperation
  • Good English skills for verbal communication and technical documentation authorship
  • Good presentation skills
