Network Security Interns are responsible for operational support of Intel's network security environment. In this position you will be responsible for supporting Intel's Enterprise Firewalls, Lab firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, Stealthwatch, proxies etc. Your responsibilities will include the following: diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network issues installation and configuration of network appliances such as Firewall, proxies etc. standard network expansion activities and network Hardware and Software upgrades working as part of a global team supporting Intel's network infrastructure worldwide. Students will work on increasingly more complex network security incidents as they learn the technologies associated with the supported area. Must work in a team environment that requires strong communication and partnership with other group members to diagnose and resolve network security related incidents.

Inside this Business Group

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Qualifications

Should be working towards a technical MASTERS degree in Information Security / Computer Science / Information Systems or related fields. Must have good understanding of Information Security, Networking fundamentals and protocols like TCP/IP. Familiarity with configuration and installation of Linux* or UNIX* systems and application services running on these platform. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. English skills at an intermediate to advanced level both written and spoken with strong communication skills are a must. Team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work independently. Must be an active student, and should be able to pursue 01 year Internship with Intel. Other preferred Requirements: CCNA training or certification, CompTIA Security+ or higher security certification SANS, ISC 2
