About this position...As a Firmware System Analysis and Triage SAT Engineer, you will work with customers, development teams and test teams to identify functional and performance issues of modem LTE Physical Layer/Firmware. You will also provide related technical support to the customers and internal teams.What you will do...You will be responsible for the detailed technical analysis of LTE Physical Layer/Firmware. The Firmware SAT Engineer will identify and narrow down functional and performance issues by analyzing logs from internal teams and external customers. You will work as part of a global team with other SAT engineers to ensure investigation, root-cause analysis, technical reporting and subsequent solution, as well as cooperation with software design teams and cross functional teams to propose solutions and verify the solutions. The Firmware SAT Engineer will create and follow up on problem reports during the product development cycle. In addition, you will also provide technical trainings to customer and internal teams on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in telecommunication, computer science or related discipline with 5+ years of industry experience. ORMS/Ph.D. of Science degree in telecommunication, computer science or related discipline with 3+ years of industry experience. Additional Qualifications:You should have at least 3 years of experience in the following areas:Demonstrated experience in LTE physical layer development, Maintenance, module/performance testing, log analysis or Technical support. Good Understanding of 3GPP Specifications 36.2 series, 25.2 series Experience working with Cellular Protocol Stack from L1 to L3C/C++ and Assembly Language in embedded processors. Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent English communication is must-have, independent, self-starter, adaptable to rapidly changing market requirements, with prioritization skills Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Intel Modem platformsFamiliarity with communication test equipment CMW 500, Agilent 8960, etc.. Prior experience in GCF/PTCRB/IOT/Operator testing. Familiar with software configuration management Clearcase/Git Familiarity with J-TAG, Lauterbach debugging or modem platform debugging environment. Basic knowledge in areas such as power saving, audio architecture and IPC in modem.Basic knowledge on 5G
