Components Research is looking for a PhD level engineer to fabricate and characterize qubits, as well as perform simple computations of quantum circuits in dilution refrigerators. Both spin qubit in Si and superconducting qubits will be studied. An understanding of dilution fridge installation and operation is a must. Hands on expertise with device electrical measurements is required. You will need to efficiently communicate and collaborate daily with other groups to determine and validate success criteria. Independent design and follow-through of unique, enabling ideas is a key expectation from this role. This position includes overseeing measurement equipment and collaboration with external research groups and vendor programs.

Desired profile

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

- Must have a Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field.

- At least 2 years' experience with either superconducting qubits or spin qubits.

- A minimum of 2 yrs of experience through your Ph.D. research in dilution refrigeration and cryogenic electrical measurements in support of Quantum Computing

Preferred Qualifications:

- Thorough understanding of dilution refrigeration and cryogenic electrical measurements at 1K temperatures.

- Understanding of CMOS devices and superconducting metals system.

- Mixed signal control of qubits - 3 or more 1st author publications.
