Job Description: The Intel Communications and Devices Group iCDG is looking for DSP Firmware Engineers at various levels to join our modem firmware development team at Bangalore India, to contribute to the design and development of modem layer 1 signal processing firmware for LTE/5G modems.Responsibilities & Duties:- Design, development & verification of DSP firmware for LTE/5G physical layer processing channel/parameter estimation, demodulation, feedback processing, interference handling- Define & implement physical layer functionality across a wide variety of Scalar / vector DSPs & hardware accelerators- Define & implement task scheduling on a multiprocessor system across scalar/vector DSP with tight real-time/load balancing constraints- Implement & optimize signal processing / control firmware on DSP- Define, implement & debug unit/subsystem test cases across a variety of test frameworks including creation of scripts, tools for memory/cycle/power/log analysis- Collaborate with System engineering, Hardware, Firmware and Verification teams across globe during firmware design, feature development & verification- Actively support pre-Si verification of developed firmware on virtual platforms, FPGA & HW bring-up activities- Actively support the analysis & debugging of issues arising out of various system, field, conformance and operator verification campaigns

Qualifications:Bachelors with 1+ years of experience / Masters degree - with focus on Digital Communication / Signal processingRequired Skills/Experience- Experience in physical layer aspects of cellular radio standards such as CDMA/3G/LTE/5G or 802.11a/c/n - Strong programming experience in C/Assembly on DSP/Controller with focus on physical layer signal processing - Experience in embedded firmware development for multicore SoC including Multi-threading, RTOS, interrupts, timer handling & programming HW accelerators- Strong analytic & problem solving skills with experience in debugging systems with tight Controller/DSP/HW accelerator interaction- Demonstrated excellent communication skills in English- Quick learner, team player and self-drivenDesirable Skills/Experience- Experience in fixed-point modeling, MIPS/Memory optimization- Experience in low level firmware, DSP board support packages, RTOS- Experience in algorithm design / system simulation
