Job Description
Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk. Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems. Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Qualifications
Hardware HW engineers design and develop Solid State Drive SSD products that includes researching components, circuit design, simulations, schematic capture, component placement & routing on printed circuit boards PCB, building prototypes, validating designs and successfully transitioning to high volume manufacture HVM. HW engineers ensure that SSD designs conform to standards and specifications. HW engineers need to work closely with cross functional teams during pre and post design phase for smooth development of products and to meet product schedules. HW engineers develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications: - The candidate must be pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field. - For candidates' pursuing a BS degree they must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with analog circuits design, mixed circuit design, signals and systems, transmission lines. - Experience with PCB design including circuit design, schematic capture, layout and validation. - Experience in developing tests procedures for components and SSD product designs and writing FW for component and SSD product validation. - Experience in development plans and cost estimates for project teams and execute to product schedules
