An undergraduate student for a temporary position who has not yet graduated and is working towards a relevant Bachelor's, Specialist's, Technical, Master's or PhD degree from a relevant academic institute. A Student employee can do specific work in the area of his future degree or work as a Generalist in a specific department. The Studentship is limited in time with the intent to hire into an Recent College Graduate/Recent Technical Graduate position as appropriate.

Media and Education Intern

The position encompasses the areas of program management, Communications, Content Creation, Social Media and Community engagement! The job role requires creativity, being able to work your own initiative within the organisation and play a contributing and supportive communications role.

The job can be divided into two sections

Media: you will look after Intel Irelands internal and external media channels. Sourcing, writing, creating media content and editing articles for publication. For this you will need to be creative and have good team work skills to enable engagement with a variety of stakeholders.

Education: Intel Ireland spend €1.3 million each year on education programs. You will be responsible for running the variety of education programs. This aspect of the jobs requires good organisation and administrative skills. It is a challenging but a very rewarding aspect of the role.

I am really enjoying my time at Intel Ireland, the internship is busy and I have been given a lot of responsibility and ownership but it is also very rewarding! I have learned so much in my time here and I would highly recommend this position to anyone who wants to challenge themselves”

Community Intern

My role within the Public Affairs Group involves being responsible for and developing innovative community and environmental projects to create and maintain positive relationships with the community and the employee base. The role is very diverse and requires the following skills:

Project planning and management, strong organisational skills, time management and the ability to build a strong network and effective communications.

The main aspects of the job can be divided into 3 sections:

·  Intel Involved Matching Grant program which recognises and encourages Intel employees to engage in volunteering. This program donates €0.5 million to over 150 organisations in communities all over Ireland.
·  Intel Involved – Managing and implementing Intel's volunteering program which on average has a 40% participation rate annually.
·  Signature Charities – involves working on the selection process and implementing projects to support the program's objectives.

I am really enjoying my internship at Intel because I am given a lot of responsibility and ownership of programs. I have the opportunity to work on other events within my department that allow me to experience all aspects of Global Public Affairs. As I continuously learn a broad range of new skills I would highly recommend doing placement at Intel with the Public Affairs team as you get to meet so many people both internally and externally and make a difference to Intel's reputation in Ireland”.

Qualifications

We are looking for 2 undergraduate students who have excellent interpersonal skills, good phone manner and good writing and PC skills.

The successful candidates will enjoy a challenging, fast-paced, good fun environment where each day is different. One will specialise in media and communication and will need excellent writing skills, the second will work with the employee base to encourage volunteerism and with the NGO and community sector to identify voluntary projects. Have a business background and support the Operations Manager on budgeting, data analysis and assistance with managing projects.
