About you
With experience in foodpurchasingwithin a fast moving consumer product environment, our ideal candidate will have a deep understandingof the food supplier landscape. Central to the role is taking the lead in the end to end food purchasing process of locally sourced range for IKEA Australia.You will have proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and build performance driven, long term relationships with suppliers.

About the job
The IKEA Food business develops and provides the food sold and served in all IKEA Restaurants, Bistro´s, Swedish Food Markets and the IKEA co-worker restaurants in Australia, serving millions of customers every year. Securing compliance in IKEA way of working (IWAY) and food safety standards, the role requires a partnership with suppliers that both optimises the costs of IKEA food products and delivers supplier performance to support the growth of our food business.

About the assignment
In this assignment you will be responsible for but not limited to;

·  Negotiating contracts and costing that capitalise on commercial opportunities
·  Liaising with new and existing suppliers to ensure supply chain is optimised at every stage – sourcing, transportation, distribution, and in store execution
·  Securing the optimal relation between quality and price in accordance with the IKEA Food strategy, food trends and customer profile
·  Analyse product ranges and present clear business cases for changes and improvements that offer business growth
·  Monitor major food markets in order to benchmark prices, producers and suppliersand optimise the national range
·  Securing compliance in IKEA way of working (IWAY) and food safety standards.
·  Managing multiple, often complex time bound projects and negotiations.
·  Fostering strong relationships with both internal & external partners and a genuine interest in delivering great customer service for stakeholders.
