ABOUT THE JOB

As an Article Administrator, you will support the IKEA Distribution Center located in Savannah, Georgia in reaching excellence in daily running of different parts of the operation.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:
· Ensure all article and range administration data is current and accurate to support Customer Distribution and Store Distribution operations.
· Communicate with all levels of the organization regarding issues related to article administration, capacity and mapping.
· Contribute in the maintaining and development of the logistical strategy & location mapping together with Operations, Operations Support Management and the Systems team.
· Analyze and adapt to the inbound and outbound development/flow throughout the year. React accordingly to range change or line up demands with the proper location mapping and capacity allocation.
· Act as early warning system, identify possible risks and initiate corrective actions related to capacity constraints & article administration concerns.
· Maintain and improve the working methods and tools for managing Article/Range administration, mapping, and capacity related functions.
· Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
· Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned.

YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
· 2 or more years of warehouse planning experience or strong knowledge of IKEA systems
· Ability to interact with all levels both internal and external to the distribution center
· Customer oriented with good understanding of store needs
· Computer literate with knowledge of PC applications
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
· Be a dynamic, action oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions
· Detail oriented
· Proven decision making skills with ability to weigh both service and cost in decision making
