Your day to day
• Meet and greet all guests at the entrance of the Cafe• Ensure the cafe is ready to receive guests prior to opening and that the venue tables and chairs are ready in line with opening standards• Ensures cafe operating equipment is clean and in working order• Maintain impeccable uniform and personal presentation standards in accordance with company dress code policy• Welcome guests to the Cafe, by using the Cafe name• Be attentive to guest requests at all times• Be attentive to guests needs and resolve any complaints where possible, reporting all incidents to your Supervisor• Maintain responsibility for cleanliness of work station, with particular attention and care for the working equipment in the Barista area• Ensure clean, appealing presentation of the Cafe entrance• Maintain responsibility for cleanliness of all food and beverage menus• Maintain a detailed knowledge of menu, including daily specials• Ensure tables are cleared quietly and efficiently• Carry food and beverage trays in a safe manner to minimize breakages• Complete KOT orders accurately and clearly• Be well informed and aware of current information on all hotel activities• Assist team to implement impeccable quality experience• Respond to guest needs promptly and efficiently• Attend scheduled pre-service team briefings for daily updates• Prepare and present the bill promptly to guest• Maintain the opening and closing procedure checklist• Establish and maintain effective employee relations at all times• Inform on a daily basis to Supervisor all relevant information in operational and personal matters, includes information which may not require Supervisor action• Treats all ambassadors with respect and integrity• Performs all duties as may be assigned by his / her superior
What we need from you
• Must be experienced in F&B coffee shop operations;• You will assist to ensure the smooth conduct of the shift through customer focused service delivery.• Promote the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.
