One of the best situated hotels in Birmingham City Centre, Hyatt Regency Birmingham is a modern hotel that enjoys a prime central location. Our luxury hotel is just opposite the brand new Library of Birmingham and five minutes' walk from the exclusive Mailbox and Bull Ring shopping centres, as well as Broad Street and Brindley Place. The hotel features 319 luxury rooms and suites, our Gentleman and Scholar Pub and Bistro, where guests can enjoy relaxed surroundings whilst enjoying cuisine with a selection of fine wines. We also have 10 meeting rooms and Amala Spa & Club for wellness/beauty treatments a pool and gym.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Handy Person to join our team. Some of the main duties would include: maintaining the corridors, Lobby and guest room lighting throughout the Hotel, ensuring all burnt out light bulbs are replaced promptly, ensuring that all plant rooms are in a clean and tidy state. You will assist by reporting any leakage, spillage or damage to plant or equipment immediately. Your duties will include carrying out minor carpentry repairs to furniture and doors, and painting throughout the Hotel.

Working on a casual basis where hours will be determined by business requirements.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in a similar role is required, working within a hotel operation within a maintenance team would be an advantage. You will be a team player, who can be flexible to meet our guest needs. A good level or verbal and written English is a must, as is basic computer skills.
