The Equity Operation team is an independent control function which globally has number of functional activities. The US Equity Derivatives Operations team is based in New York and covers the operational functions for the Structure Derivatives and Equity Prime Finance business in Global Banking and Markets.

As part of the Equity Derivatives Operation, the candidate will be joining the Middle Office Control team which sits on the New York headquarters.

Initially the mission will involve getting familiar with existing business models, control process and tools currently in use and it is fully expected that this would be followed by actively advocating, enhancing and employing their use in a practical environment with a main focus on equity derivatives and delta one business.
The mission is a unique opportunity to experience working alongside a wide range of people from the Front Office Businesses, Information Technology, Market Risk, Product Control and potentially other control functions within HSBC.
The Equity Derivatives Ops team works very closely with Front Office Trading and Sales, Product Control, and other operation control teams addressing trades, clients and regulatory mandates.
The reporting line is to Head of Equity Operation (New York).

Profil recherché

Profile:

·  Strong knowledge of Equity and Derivatives products
·  Some knowledge of interest rate, cash equity, FX, and other financial products would be an advantage.
·  Computer skills: Bloomberg, Reuters, VBA, EXCEL
·  Strong English speaking and writing skills
·  An inquisitive and sociable person who can work in a team and take initiatives.
·  Business School or Master Degree in Finance needed
