We are seeking an experienced Private Banker/Relationship Manager to help us develop and grow our Private Banking business across the North West of England. The target market for the role holder will be UK Resident and UK Domiciled clients with investable assets of between $5m and $30m in a role where there will be a focus on both developing new client relationships and managing existing clients to generate new AUM, thus increasing revenue and profitability.

In this role you will:

·    Manage and develop existing client portfolios whilst also originating new target clients through investment Assets Under Management (AUM), lending and advisory services through own network as well identifying and converting referral opportunities via internal HSBC networks.
·  Grow revenues through your allocated portfolio of clients.
·  Combine client relationship management with excellent risk management capabilities ensuring credit quality & requisite returns on risk.
·  Abide not only by external regulatory requirements but also by internal HSBC control standards which will include timely preparation for all internal and external audits along with any issues raised by regulators.
·  Collaborate effectively with appropriate internal teams such as Investment Counselling, Wealth Planning, Credit Advisory and other relevant business lines to optimum effective client and business outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·  Extensive experience in a Relationship Management role within a UK regulated Private Bank setting - essential
·  CISI Level 4 qualified or equivalent is essential, but with the aim of becoming level 6 qualified within 12 months of starting in role
·  Demonstrable track record of client portfolio management within the $5-30million space, and of new client acquisition - essential
·  An ability to build and leverage internal and external networks to generate and convert new opportunities
·  Adept at managing the demands of internal senior stakeholders

This role is based in Manchester but will require frequent travel across the North West of England.
