Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Investment Analyst .

Principal responsibilities
· To conduct detailed stock and sector analysis for Chinese stocks.
· To provide research and equity analysis for the China market.
· To assume the full coverage of automobiles sector and build detailed analysis for both A and H shares.
· To work closely with our Joint Venture in Shanghai and produce more stock report according to our own process.
· To assist in any equity related queries from any client accounts
· To implement the research process in a disciplined manner and produce investment recommendations for the China Investment team
· Maintain in depth knowledge of the companies of those specific sectors via non-financial and management contacts
· Be able to access both the global and regional macro drivers and Chinese government policies that may impact those sectors
· To provide detailed financial models including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow models on the companies under the role holder's coverage
· To remain up to date with the various valuation techniques that required to analyse those sectors

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements
·  A solid number of relevant years' experience, conducting and covering the Automotive equity research across A and H shares
·  Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics or other related subjects
·  Solid years of equity security selection experience
·  Buy side fundamental equity research experience preferred
·  CFA charter holder preferred
·  Proficient in English and Chinese languages
·  Proficient in Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel
