We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Enterprise Cloud Architect .

Principal responsibilities

·
Investigate new infrastructure technologies to meet business requirements.

·
Provide technical governance over the Products used in HSBC through the Technical Reference Model

·
Provide service governance of both existing and new technical nonfunctional service definitions maintained within an Infrastructure Service Catalogue

·
Infrastructure Architecture Designs, approved by the Solutions Architecture Board

·
Manage relationships across HSBC Operations Services and Technology, Application Development team areas on an ongoing basis

·
Keep up to date with business strategies and road maps, technology roadmaps and feeding wider business Information Technology requirements into central infrastructure engineering and strategy teams

·
Use of knowledge of the existing client business, applications and infrastructure to proactively make recommendations where it can be seen that improvements can be made

Requirements

· 
Have a system engineering background and the ability to compare and contrast different solutions to meet a business requirement.

· 
Provide technical thought leadership in evaluation of new technologies to meet business requirements and influence key stakeholders leading to adoption.

· 
Have in depth conceptual functional and nonfunctional knowledge of Networking, Server Operating systems internals, benchmarking and performance tuning, Microarchitectures and Server Virtualization, Storage, Cloud, Databases and Middleware

· 
End to end agile infrastructure architecture across all layers

· 
Trading Technologies

· 
Passion for technology and understanding how things work

· 
A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways

· 
Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field

· 
Proven experience of leading others and creating an environment that supports and inspires people to develop and deliver

· 
Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations

· 
Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively
