We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Compliance Assistant Manager - INS NFR COE

Principal responsibilities

·  Conducting / supporting the risk management activities of local insurance business, e.g. MI preparation, CSEM data reconciliation on a regular basis
·  Supporting the management of Financial Crime & Fraud, and Regulatory Compliance risks through control improvement / streamlining / remediation activities. Providing constructive challenge to existing practices/proposed initiatives.
·  Project Management to plan/lead/execute implementation of Compliance initiatives at a local Entity level, including Group projects impacting Insurance. Includes stakeholder engagement and progress reporting.
·  Supporting to embed the Conduct Risk agenda.
·  Embed Insurance internal and external fraud control framework, including supporting the fraud strategy, implementing the operating model, training, and enhancing the MI/oversight.
·  Prepare regular reporting and MI covering risk and control reports but with a particular focus on Compliance reporting (including complaints and conduct)
·  Support with preparing content for both global and local risk management Forums.
·  Policy/procedure change impact assessment and implementation.
·  Coordinating multi-market read across activity for material issues/events.
·  Global Business Compliance coordination, including Conflicts of Interest Register, GPAD, Cross Border.
·  Risk-based control monitoring/thematic review.

Requirements

·  Qualified to graduate level.
·  Minimum of 3 years work experience in a risk/control/compliance/audit related role
·  Financial Crime and/or Regulatory Compliance certification / relevant experience, preferably with a strong understanding of HSBC’s Financial Crime control framework.
·  Understanding of operational risk and how to implement an effective framework.
·  Good command of written and spoken English, and with good communication skills i.e., ability to articulate complex issues concisely.
·  Ability to work independently and flexibly, in a challenging, complex and a fast-paced environment, and against tight deadlines.
·  Ability to engage and manage diverse stakeholder groups, across geographies.
·  Proven judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems and well as a willingness to challenge the status quo.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
