Retail Banking & Wealth Management (RBWM) UK Business Transformation works with businesses and delivery partners across the world by combining change expertise and experience to help shape and implement strategic change for HSBC. The department is instrumental in driving change improvements in customer experience and unit costs through automation, standardization, and optimisation of HSBC's operating model covering people, processes, products, and channels.

We are currently seeking an individual, experienced in the delivery of Agile change, to join this team in the role of Business Analyst – Retail Banking & Wealth Management (RBWM) UK Business Transformation

The RBWM UK business Transformation team is a multi-disciplinary team using agile and waterfall practices to manage and deliver transformational change programmes and projects across all RBWM brands and propositions. The team lead change initiatives supporting both UK and Global RBWM.

Primarily, the individual will be responsible for the definition of the analysis approach for large transformational programmes working in a dynamic, agile, collaborative environment, initially focussing on first direct change programmes, then broadening into other HSBC brands. The role works with domain leads and senior business representatives to shape change programmes and prepare for mobilising resources. As an experienced analyst the role may include functional management of other analysts, engaging senior business stakeholders from across global business lines and global functions and helping to develop the professionalism of the business analysis practice by championing industry practices and developing the team. The jobholder will have a combined set of good interpersonal skills and business/technology knowledge in order to develop an effective relationship with the business and IT, providing sound consultancy that adds value.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Defining the most appropriate analysis approach to a problem/opportunity and leading a multi skilled team to achieve the required goal.
· Driving change through the RBWM governance process.
· Understanding the needs of the business and writing user stories / high level requirements capturing just enough detail to enable development.
· Provide support to the product owner in decision making, grooming product backlogs, understanding the business propositions and driving delivery of benefits.
· Developing and deploying standardised operational processes. Performing root cause analysis of failure elements & recommend improvements.
· Defining the solution design for non-technology projects and supporting IT with definition of the technology elements.
· Performing financial analysis by understanding the link between changes in systems and business processes to costs and benefits.
· Leading change & implementation / business readiness activities such as:-

-Operational Impact Assessments

-Understanding and writing procedures

-Communication planning

-Developing User Acceptance Test (UAT) strategies and plans and support customer sign-off for the deliverable ensuring the product is fit for purpose. -Running and facilitating pilots.

-Leading, mentoring and supporting other analysts.

·  Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.

·  A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications.
·  The ability to understand and interpret complex data.
·  Self-motivated and able to work independently, and under own initiative with a sense of ownership and accountability.
·  Positive, dynamic and resilient, open to change and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
·  Responds positively to challenge, showing consideration for others views and taking these into account when making decisions.
·  A track record of making customers (external and/or internal) the focal point of everything they do and decide, and ensuring they get the right service or solution - every time.
·  Experience in delivering change.
·  Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Occasional travel required nationally to meet business stakeholders

In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have a track record of:

·  Demonstrable business analysis experience, with particular evidence of successful delivery of benefits (Essential)
·  Appreciation of change & implementation / business readiness activities including live proving (Business User Testing)
·  Knowledge of Retail Banking & Wealth Management Products & Propositions
·  Knowledge of Financial Services
·  Knowledge of Project Management methodologies Inc. Agile, and best practice techniques
·  Experience of using tools such as Confluence & Jira
·  Relevant Business Analyst qualifications e.g. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis, Six Sigma
