Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC's global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world's leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at the Bluefin Building in Southwark, our global headquarters in Canary Wharf, and multiple other locations around the UK including Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Birmingham.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2019 and beyond, we are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join HSBC Technology.

The GCB6 Business Analyst role is based within the Operations and Shared Services (OSS) Utilities IT Team. (OSS) Utilities team provides Customer Communications Management, Enterprise Content Management, Workflow and Automation solutions for HSBC.

The role is to manage and carry out analysis activity for one or more programmes under the direction of the Utilities Architect or Solutions Analysis Team Lead. It is possible that the Business Analyst will work on multiple projects simultaneously.

What you will be doing;

Be the designated PoC within Utilities for programmes that are assigned to you;

·
Conduct meetings with the business to ensure that both parties are clear on requirements and expectations given in terms of what happens next;

· Capturing, analysing and documenting business processes and customer journeys;
·
Review business requirements against the 4 pillars and understand the appropriate solution;

·
Contact and liaise with various teams within Utilities to obtain estimates;

·
Ensuring that the Front Door documentation e.g. high-level requirements, estimation sheet and resource profile, is complete and meets standards;

·
Participating in the designing of solutions or change interventions;

Qualifications :

What you will bring to the role;

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

·  Experience capturing analysing and documenting business processes
·  Reviewing business requirements with a view to building IT changes
·  Experience of participating in the design of solutions
·  Fully competent in MS Office
·  Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders and conducting meetings.

The location for this role is Grosvenor House, Sheffield
