Global Service Delivery


Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, Global Service Delivery is a leader in the development of services and processes that are designed around the customer and enable the firm to demonstrate to regulators that its processes and ways of working will deliver consistently high standards of compliance. Every day, customers all over the world are paying bills, buying homes and setting up companies and every day, Global Service Delivery teams are making sure all this happens smoothly.

Role Purpose


HSBC provides an extensive Transfer Agency product suite and a comprehensive range of services, underpinned by an established global target operating model. The service covers registrar and sub transfer agent as well as local client service and is targeted towards fund managers, distributors and investors globally with support across different time zones.

Within HSBC's Global Banking and Markets HSS, Design, Build & Support Transfer Agency (DBS TA) is a global team responsible for the delivery of innovative technology solutions for the TA services. DBS TA is a key enabler for HSS Growth strategy, providing programme delivery expertise alongside architecture, development and support for both new and existing platforms. DBS TA is committed to the production of high-quality enterprise-strength solution and has a change agenda that extends way beyond 2021. This makes DBS TA a dynamic, challenging and rewarding place to work. We are now inviting an experienced professional to join our team.


Principal Responsibilities
·
Work in an agile environment, while main responsibility evolves around requirements analysis working with key business users and stakeholders in the Transfer Agency business, expect candidate to have greater flexibility, discipline and willingness to work in an evolutionary manner

·
Perform in-depth analysis and develop detailed functional specifications for strategic projects as well as smaller tactical items. Clear articulation of business requirement, traceability matrix and acceptance criteria / how to validate the end functional change.

Clarify and define delivery scope into multiple minimum viable products, produce practical estimation of implementation effort and cost

·
Work as part of Global DBS TA team - form a close partnership with colleagues in other regions of the DBS TA organization including business users and stakeholders

·
This includes greater focus on improved collaboration, on knowledge sharing, on skills transfers and ensure that requirements are well understood, and then met in a consistent and coherent manner.

·
Liaise with global business teams to ensure that solutions delivered are of global benefit.

·
Work with solution vendors and internal teams to perform detail design of technical solutions

·
Ensure the delivery of high quality solutions by taking a lead role in project quality assurance. This will require (and is not limited to) the formulation of test scripts; hands-on technical testing, issue investigation and providing automated test input, supporting UAT

Log, report and follow up deliverable defects until resolution

·
Coordinate and/or perform user training, produce and/or ensure system vendor to produce proper system manuals and training materials

·
Coordinate system go live and cutover arrangement, Post-implementation follow up to ensure that outstanding issues are properly logged and reported

Desired profile



Qualifications :

·  University graduate with previous experience in business analysis working on technical solution delivery in banking and financial sector
·  Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
·  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
·  Excellent track record on the delivery of business-facing projects, both large and small.
·  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure, be curious, want to learn quickly and rapidly assimilate new business demands.
·  Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
·  Willingness to challenge requirements raised by the business when applicable.
·  Disciplined approach; able to follow process but also to challenge it where appropriate.
·  Good SQL knowledge with the ability to write queries and interpret results.
·  Basic knowledge of Java and/or .NET is a plus.
·  Passion and natural curiosity for the financial services industry and a desire to build knowledge of our business and clients
·  Self-motivated and ability to manage time effectively
·  Ability to juggle changing priorities and a varied workload
·  Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
