The VMWare Enablement team within the HPE Server organization is responsible for enabling VMWare on HPE's server product lines. We are responsible for delivering products and solutions targeted at enabling new operatingsystems functionality,develop drivers,and manageabilitysoftware. We expect our systems/software engineers to engage with multiple HPE partners, other HPE teams and participate in the full software lifecycle from investigation, requirements, design, development, qualification and release.

Responsibilities

The person taking this role will be responsible for issue management in conjunction with HPE VMware Engineering Team.

Tasks include: initial assignment of issues, continuous tracking of issue progress, if required creating a SR (VMware issue), ensuring appropriate logs are attached, periodic issue clean-up and producing weekly reports for VMware/HPE issue meetings. 

The person taking this role will be responsible for producing HPE VMware Custom ISO for test and release in conjunction with HPE VMware Engineering Team.  Also maintaining Custom ISO build spreadsheets.

And will cover below through time:

·  Designing and developing new VMWare drivers and management software products in a timely manner adhering to high quality standards.
·  Working with Software Testing / QA organizations to achieve quality requirements.
·  Troubleshooting / Debugging product issues related to VMWare
·  Collaborating with cross functional and remote project team members for successful project completion.
·  Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
·  Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.
·  Participates as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
·  Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution

Education and Experience

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or other Engineering, or equivalent
·  Minimum 3-5 years of experience

Knowledge and Skills

Must:

·  Linux Kernel/BSP related experience (as the base knowledge to transfer to VMWare related)
·  Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
·  Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
·  Strong time management

Preferred:

·  Basic knowledge of VMware ESXi
·  Familiar with HPE Servers/server devices is a plus.
·  Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize where needed
