Defines, manages, and evaluates business plans to ensure they are operationally executable against defined strategic objectives. Leads and partners with cross-functional teams to develop short-term (typically less than two years) business plans and supporting data-driven models. Prepares comprehensive implementation tactics, including execution plans, resource allocation plans, follow-up guidelines, assessment, and process accountabilities. Ensures that business activities are aligned with stated plans among different stakeholders. Sets business metrics, evaluates actual performance, and makes recommendations to business leaders on performance target achievement. Develops data-driven analyses to optimize resources and ensure that business plans can be translated into financial value.

Responsibilities:

·  Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field.
·  Develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives.
·  Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
·  Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
·  Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
·  Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
·  Assists in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for individuals, communities, and/or university departments.
·  May review instructor performance and recommend improvements to program content and/or instructor presentation methods; may recruit, select, and train instructors.
·  May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.
·  Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Requires 10+ years total experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. Advanced university degree required (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Extensive knowledge of research methodology for the most challenging business issues.
·  Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
·  Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches and insights.
·  Extensive knowledge of how to analyze business problems using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
·  Superior business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills.
·  Excellent project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.
