Description

The primary responsibilities of this role are to Design & Developing software stack for HP Servers. The candidate should have detailed knowledge in Computer Architecture, Operating Systems & its administration. Should have good Analytical, communication & presentation skills who can strive in fast paced environments. The candidate should have fair experience in Agile & SDLC software development models.

Responsibilities

Candidate with following experience is most suitable for this role.

MUST have Hands-on Experience on C/C++ (stdlib), Java, Python. The candidate will work on software platform supporting HP Servers and will be designing & developing functionality for the enhancing servers to do various types of provision of software. Exposure to Linux internals & device drivers is a MUST Exposure to Networking, storage technologies is good for the success of the position offered. Good have knowledge on ReSTful API Good knowledge on Virtual environments like VMware & Hypervisor Administration of Windows , RHEL, SUSE, VMware, Debian, Ubuntu SDLC & Agile development process Knowledge on JSON/XML and HTML CSS. In short, the candidate will be responsible for all aspects of development of embedded software needed for technologies/solutions/products that HP offers on its servers.

Education and Experience

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
·  Minimum 3-6 years’ experience

Knowledge and Skills

·  3-6 years of hands-on experience in Development.
·  Must have detailed knowledge of Linux internals or Windows or VMware 
·  Knowledge of networking and storage interfaces, etc. 
·  Expert in most of the following languages: 

Linux/Unix C/C++ development with make/gcc  Python  Windows C/C++ development (Visual Studio)  JavaScript (JQuery/NodeJS/Angular)

·  Knowledge on embedded development on Linux OS an added advantage.
·  Good understanding of HTML5 
·  Able to create and read documentation and plans, work with customers and outside teams to hone and define requirements 
·  Able to work in a small team with rapid turn around and tight build schedules
·  Knowledge of BIOS or EFI a plus
·  Knowledge of server hardware (especially HP ProLiant) a plus
·  Demonstrated track record of learning new technologies, designing & developing software’s stacks.
·  Has good understanding of OS & its fundamentals along with sound understanding of Computer Architecture & Hardware.
·  Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging capability.
·  Ability to analyze corner cases, timing issues, security loopholes, scaling performances, etc.
·  A strong desire to use Open Source testing tools as well as the view of Optimizing & Automation Tasks.
·  Willing to work alone with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively as a part of a larger team.
·  Must be independent, quick learner and possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
