Team description.

·  The Aruba campus & branch business unit designs, builds, goes-to-market, and supports half of Aruba’s annual revenue with a broad portfolio of access switching and core & aggregation switching products, differentiated via software.
·  Within the BU, the Product Line Management team is responsible for product strategy, product, definition, strategic roadmap, and overall business results – we are the “mini-GMs” of the product lines.
·  Collaborate across all major functions, using strategic clarity to drive success with software, hardware, test, marketing, sales, channels, finance, supply Chain, and more.

What you’ll do.

·  Define business outcomes through detailed and thoughtful planning, forecasting, identifying key indicators, progress tracking and course correcting.
·  Translate data and analytics into actionable business decisions and key strategy.
·  Directly influence product strategy and roadmap decisions in our mobile first switching business unit.
·  Be identified as a proactive partner in defining market requirements, driving ecosystems, and creating partnerships with various departments within the organization.
·  Own go to market outcomes and thought leadership for switching solutions and products.
·  Master the art of evangelizing product and solution messaging and marketing to the field and our customers to become a trusted advisor.
·  Present and communicate with all levels of the organization from sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, and executives with polish, definition and command of the material.
·  Conduct market research, competitive analysis, pricing and business planning to help your products and solutions win in the marketplace.
·  Become the trusted direct link between our customers and R&D in order to drive defined market requirements for solutions that solve real world networking problems.
·  Travel to customer sites, escalation locations and trade shows to directly support our customers, sales and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications.

·  Excellent soft skills required. You will be interfacing with all levels of the organization. The ability to communicate ideas concepts with elegance and boardroom posture. 1-4 years of experience (minimum) in product management.
·  Excellent written and oral communications skills as well as polished presentation style.
·  Self-managing, with sound judgment to prioritize/balance customer, field requests and business goals.
·  Self-motivated yet highly collaborative.
·  Comfortable in ambiguity, flexible and open to change
·  Demonstrable experience in hands-on networking, including all aspects of IP communications.
·  Technically sound and knowledgeable about networking technologies – L2/L3 wired network protocols, TCP/IP communications, Wireless LAN and 802.11 / LAN 802.3 standards.
·  Bachelors in computer science, computer engineering or relevant technical degree is a must.
·  MBA with preference on finance, strategy, product management
