Our research interests align with innovation themes ranging from the Internet of Things, to 3D transformation, Immersive Computing, Hyper-Mobility or Smart Machines. Security and privacy are already top concerns for businesses and consumers and will only increase as with further technology and usage model innovation. As a result, a major challenge for HP Labs Bristol is to create technology that ensures safe and assured digital experiences.
To support this, we have a number of job openings, ranging from permanent security research positions to postdocs or research contracts, open for talented security researchers (both experienced and newly qualified).
We welcome applications from diverse candidates with a range of experiences. We expect them to have at least a first degree in an appropriate discipline, ideally including a PhD. Candidates for experienced roles should have significant relevant research experience.
For permanent positions, we are interested in candidates with skills in at least one of: distributed system security architecture, distributed systems security management, sensor network and IoT security management, malware analysis, intrusion detection, and cryptography.
Ideal candidates will be able to combine their security knowledge with at least one of: hardware and embedded system software, distributed systems management, operational infrastructure management, wireless and ad-hoc network architectures, user-centric design, data analytics.
