HPE is seeking an experienced GPU performance engineer for our HPC Performance and Applications team to work on benchmarking, profiling, and tuning key GPU-related benchmarks and applications across the full range of HPE HPC and AI product offerings.

Responsibilities:
o    Supporting the HPE sales team with pre-sales technical assistance and benchmarking in support of HPC customer sales opportunities
o    Analyzing and documenting performance characteristics of the HPC applications for which you are responsible
o    Providing technical consultation to application benchmarkers in support of application stability and performance
o    Evaluating new technologies and driving HPE differentiation, both in performance and features, into key applications
o    Frequent interaction with HPE product engineering and marketing on current and future product features and directions
o    Drive application related performance studies and projects as well as author technical reports and papers related to these efforts
o    Work with HPE product management and marketing to provide performance data in support of new product introductions and initiatives

Education and Experience Required:
o    Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent
o    Knowledge and experience with HPC systems and software
o    Knowledge and experience with HPC applications running on GPUs
o    Knowledge and experience with key HPC benchmarks on GPUs (HPL, HPCG) a plus
o    3+ years of demonstrated experience with high-end HPC systems and performance analysis/tuning of scalable HPC applications

Knowledge and Skills:
o    Experience with multiprocessor HPC hardware architectures, processor capabilities, GPU programming models like OpenACC and CUDA, and parallel programming techniques including detailed knowledge of MPI and OpenMPI
o    Experience with configuring and analyzing GPUs and GPU-based applications in HPC environments
o    Experience with HPC software development tools including compilers, debuggers, and performance measurement tools
o    Proficiency in a high-level programming languages such as C++ and Fortran
o    Proficiency with the Linux operating systems including scripting
o    Strong self-driven work ethic and motivation
o    Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
o    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
o    Integrity, customer focus, innovation, teamwork, and accountability in daily work
o    Ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking environment with demanding deadlines
o    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mastery in English required
