Our Global Communications team is looking for creative and energetic interns who are open to wearing different hats and learning the many aspects of communications. 

Based at our new headquarters in San Jose (note: all positions are virtual for the time being), you will work closely with a global team of professionals across communications pillars – Corporate, Financial, Product, Executive, Employee, and Digital – to help drive HPE’s business outcomes and build confidence among stakeholders by enhancing and protecting HPE’s reputation, differentiating our products and services, and showcasing our thought leadership.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers and leaders across the entire organization to identify trends in the news and technology, develop innovative storylines and campaigns, and promote HPE to a diverse set of stakeholders, including team members, media, industry analysts, and thought leaders. Other responsibilities may include (but not be limited to):

· 
Public Relations : Support our media initiatives, including product announcements, financial reporting, and corporate citizenship and sustainability initiatives through the development of media materials, story pitching, and influencer engagement. 

· 
Analyst Relations : Support industry analyst activities, including coordinating internal and external briefings, drafting content, preparing executives, and amplifying engagements.  

· 
Event Management : Support the development and execution of events of all types and sizes, including concept planning, stakeholder engagement, and project management.

· 
Executive Visibility : Support senior executives with stakeholder engagement through speechwriting, presentation development, event planning, and social media support.

· 
Social & Digital Media : Support our digital amplification programs through the development of written and visual content, creative campaigns, online influencer engagement, and performance measurement. 

· 
Content Development : Support all varieties of content development including media materials, internal briefing documents, executive blog posts, video scripts, PowerPoint presentations, and social media posts. 

Skills needed to succeed in this role:

· 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to translate those skills into compelling narratives and creative storytelling opportunities delivered by diverse voices for diverse audiences.

· 
An “editorial eye” and strong attention to detail to ensure materials are clear, concise, persuasive, and error-free.

· 
A voracious consumer of media with knowledge of traditional best practices and a passion for understanding trends (e.g. social media trends, best-in-class case studies, competitive activities).

· 
Familiarity with mainstream social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Yammer and tech forums – and comfort using those channels to support corporate and business initiatives.

· 
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to pivot quickly to address urgent needs, quick turnarounds, and a fast-paced schedule.

· 
Ability to independently to manage time and prioritize work while adhering to strict deadlines.

· 
Genuine interest in technology with the ability to understand and articulate complex topics and cutting-edge innovation.

· 
Flexible, collaborative, team player who displays good judgement and a growth mindset.  

Requirements:

· 
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism or related degree

· 
Must be graduating after Fall 2021  

· 
Relevant experience and/or participation in meaningful extracurricular activities
