About the Entry Level Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) Software Developer

HPE SimpliVity is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates for an Entry Level Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) Software Developer to be part of a world-class engineering team responsible for delivering systems software on a variety of hardware and software platforms. Our customers run their mission-critical IT infrastructure on our platform, so quality of delivery through good design, test, and release practices is essential for success. You are passionate about developing great enterprise products for HPE customers.

As an Entry Level Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) Software Developer, you will be part of a talented international team whose mission is to design, develop and test innovative Hyper-Converged Infrastructure products. You will work alongside talented software developers and designers and be challenged with leading-edge software technologies such as Docker container, virtualization, software define data center, and Micro Services.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

·  Work as part of a talented team to design and development end-to-end features for Hyper-Converged Infrastructure products
·  Conduct technical investigation, code development, unit test, and integration test
·  Work with engineering leads and managers across divisions to complete features and user stories
·  Collaborate and communicate with management, as well as internal and outside development partners regarding software application design status, project progress, and issue resolution
·  Work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
·  Contribute to infrastructure automation efforts
·  Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience Required

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (e.g. Electrical or Computer Engineering)
·  Advanced degree is a plus
·  1+ years’ experience in Java Enterprise Application development

Knowledge and Skills Required

·  1+ year experience developing application in Linux environment
·  Experience developing applications in Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware ecosystem a plus
·  Experience working on the development of high performance enterprise storage applications a plus
·  Solid technical foundation in Computer Science
·  Experience contributing to Open Source projects
·  Familiar with Git and modern IDE ( IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc.)
·  Strong desire to build; sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
