The Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs is looking for a Corporate Governance Managerto support attorneys and projects by performing legal research, investigating and preparing various documents to be filed with state and federal agencies, and drafting legal agreements. Communicates instructions to outside counsel. Works on special projects, such as managing databases and keeping legal databases up-to-date. May develop financial tools/models and prepare trend analysis and variance reports for annual planning. May manage discovery process, conflicts of interest, and legal docket for area of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

·  Experience working with and supporting a Board of Directors in a corporate governance environment highly desired
·  Manages a team of nonexempt individual contributors.
·  Spends majority of time leading and coordinating daily activities of direct reports.
·  Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes
·  Ensures the delivery of services that meet service level agreements.
·  Manages demand and supply matching activities and ensuring execution.
·  Identifies opportunities for process improvements.
·  Resolves complex issues that have been escalated by individual contributors.

Education and Experience Required:

·  First level university degree or equivalent experience.
·  Typically 2+ years of experience in a legal function.
·  Typically 0-2 years of project management experience.
·  Typically 1+ years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Strong project management skills.
·  Strong people management skills.
·  Strong analytical, analysis, and problem solving skills.
·  Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.
·  Strong knowledge of local legal compliance issues.
·  Demonstrated leadership and developing a talented workforce including goal setting, performance management, mentoring and coaching.
