Within this role, you become an integral part of the team, and would be involved in writing new code for the enhancements of system software, identifying, logging, and debugging issues, and getting involved in the full spectrum of software development - covering every aspect within the team!

In a typical day as a 5G Core Network Software Engineer you would:

· 
Code and program enhancements, updates, and changes for portions of CMS 5G software

· 
Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifie, log, and debug assigned issues.

· 
Participate as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately‐ complex products

· 
Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

If you are…

· 
Holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

· 
A professional with typically 2-4 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

· 
Using software applications design tools and languages.

· 
Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.

· 
Designing software applications running on multiple platform types.

· 
Software applications testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.

· 
Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.

· 
Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.

Specific skills:

· 
Understanding of software product architecture

· 
Understanding of testing, coding, and debugging procedures

· 
Good knowledge of  software engineering best practices (Junit, Java coding guidelines, …),

· 
Good analytical and problem solving skills, pragmatic

· 
Linux, Virtualization, Cloud

· 
Kubernetes knowledge would be a differentiator

· 
Ansible, scripting is a plus

· 
Scrum Agile methodology

· 
Software development: Java, J2EE, XML

· 
Development environment: Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, Maven
