Job Summary: The Warehouse Clerk position is responsible for completing all aspects of shipping and receiving for the warehouse. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for inventory management, ensuring that day to day warehouse operations are completed while providing superior service to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receiving:
· Unload trucks and containers
· Systematically receive in goods
· Deliver goods to appropriate location

Warehouse:
· Ensures all transactions are recorded timely and accurately, to reflect a correct inventory position at any time
· Cycle count inventory
· Keep the warehouse in an orderly and organized fashion
· Pick parts for Production Orders, and ensure materials are utilized in a FIFO manner
· Maintain the inter-company courier service area

Shipping:
· Packaging shipments
· Coordinate domestic and international truck or small parcel shipments by performing all systematic transactions necessary, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
· Load trucks and containers
· Monitor/maintain stock of Shipping and Warehouse supplies
· Coordinate courier services for both pickup and deliveries

Other duties:
· Participate in determining the root causes for issues along with implementing solutions using the corrective action process
· Analyze current procedures in place and make recommendations for process improvements to the Materials Manager

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Education/Certifications
·  High School Diploma or GED required
·  Forklift certified (or ability to become certified)/Familiar with all other basic material handling equipment
·  DOT HazMat Ground Transportation Certification or ability to become certified within the first 90 days of employment

Experience
·  3+ years' experience in shipping/receiving/inventory control
·  1+ years' experience with small parcel shipping software
·  1+ years' experience with ERP software, SAP experience preferred
·  Proficient with Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, etc
·  Experience filling out domestic/international shipping papers (bill of lading, international commercial invoices)
Skills
·  Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
·  Strong problem solving, communication and record keeping skills
·  Able to work independently, and as part of a team environment
·  Ability to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization, including operations, engineering, and management
·  Must be able to read and write in English, and follow printed and computer-screen instructions
·  Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone
·  Competency to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar/line/pie graphs
·  Valid driver's license and the ability to drive motor vehicle (non-commercial truck, van, car) as required
