This role is located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area specifically in Cannon Falls, MN.

Responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations of a designated area in terms of production, quality, safety, and housekeeping. Drives continuous improvement and training activities in order to meet customer's expectations with respect to delivery and quality and provides the workforce a safe working environment and training to develop their skills.

· Oversee all disciplinary actions in accordance with established policy and consistency.
· Maintain records and improve on key production metrics in the production department.
· Manage manufacturing costs such as labor, supplies, raw materials, etc. to meet or exceed the budgeted amount.
· Lead & develop the supervisory skills of the production supervisors.
· Improve manufacturing processes of the facility on a continuous basis.
· Develop and ensure compliance to standard methods for all operations of production.
· Conduct subordinate reviews and prepare a monthly manufacturing report.
· Maintain a productive direct relationship with key internal and external contacts.

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or other technical discipline is required
·  At least 3 years related experience in either technical or production assignment, chemical industry experience preferred.
·  At least 3 years direct Leadership experience
·  Background with manufacturing methods, procedures, and continuous improvement programs and Experience with lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma initiatives.
·  Experience managing SHE compliance in a hazardous chemical environment.
·  Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and managerial skills to motivate, coach, and constructively deal with people at all levels of the organization.
·  Detail oriented and able to make decisions timely and effectively in a high paced environment.
·  Ability to analyze and interpret data, government requirements and regulations.
·  Ability to define and lead continuous improvement teams involving all needed knowledge and skill sets.
·  Self-motivated with effective written and oral communications.
