AGRI-FOOD ENGINEER INTERNSHIP

MISSION:

We are looking for a trainee Food Industry Project Manager to join our Kitchen Electrics Business Unit, which has its head office in Selongey, near Dijon (21). This work placement contract will be available from September 2016 for a period of 12 months.

Working within the Innovation Research team in the Kitchen Electrics business unit (team of 20 food engineers and electromechanical engineers), you will be involved in the pre-development of one or more innovative appliances such as food processors, cookers, juicers, fryers, coffee machines, kettles by getting involved in the quality of the food result for prototypes.

Working alongside a Project Manager and depending on the subject, you will be working on:

- The nutritional evaluation of an innovative process, including setting up a file on nutritional and device tests: Bibliography, laboratory tests, contact with experts, sub-contracting of nutritional, toxicological or sensorial analyses, writing the scientific part of the monograph. Example: Monograph of the Actifry fryer (which limits the fat levels in chips)

- Researching or updating innovative processes (factors influencing preparation, cooking times etc.) with the aim of optimising the recipes obtained (physical, chemical and sensorial qualities). Example: Adjusting the power of a steam cooker to guarantee the best cooking results.

Profil recherché

PROFILE:

You are an agrifood engineering student and you would like to gain some experience in research and development working for a major international group.

These assignments will require a keen interest in science and cooking, and an ability to think up new recipes and the associated processes.

This assignment requires discipline and independence, as well as a sense of initiative allowing you to make proposals.

Your English is fluent.
