The Gypsum Activity inside the Group is the worldwide leader of plasterboard systems, building plasters and ceilings for the interior design. With a presence in more than 40 countries, the Activity employees represent more than 12 000 people.
The Insulation Activity is the worldwide leader of thermal and acoustic insulation, with occupants’ comfort and well-being, and sustainability at the heart of its concerns. With a presence in more than 40 countries, the Activity employees represent more than 9 000 people.
In line with the Group Sustainable Habitat strategy, the Insulation and Gypsum Activities have set up ambitious objectives on environmental and sustainable issues and have a strong actions plan to deliver in the coming years.
His/her missions will be to develop and implement plans and initiatives at international level, to raise countries awareness, to answer their needs and to spur the local sustainable marketing initiatives in these fields to make sustainability a key differentiator on the market. These initiatives will be launched through the sustainability programs of the Insulation and Gypsum Activities.
The job position has a very international & multicultural scope and is cross-functional (interacting with marketing, communication, sales, operations, etc.).
The main areas of work are: green buildings certifications, indoor environmental quality, circular economy, life cycle assessment, environmental product declarations, product transparency, recycling schemes for construction and demolition waste, eco-innovation, sustainable portfolio management, life cycle costing, etc.
He/she will directly manage a junior sustainability officer.
In the International central marketing team and under the supervision and guidance of the Sustainability Director of the Gypsum and Insulation Activities, he/she will:

Coordinate and animate an international community of sustainability ambassadors and roll-out the sustainability strategy

Further develop and deploy the sustainability programs for the Gypsum and Insulation Activities in collaboration with management teams in the countries and central marketing teams;

Engage countries and enhance the community of sustainability ambassadors for the Gypsum and Insulation Activities (mainly marketing profiles);
·
Challenge and support countries in the definition and step-by-step implementation of their sustainability roadmaps;
·
Facilitate and organize internal good practice sharing between countries regarding sustainability initiatives, and develop synergies between Gypsum and Insulation Activities.

Raise awareness and perform internal training to increase knowledge of sales and marketing people on key sustainability topics.
·
Invent and deploy training programs and tools on sustainable construction (incl. digital learning, MOOC, webinars…)
·
Animate internal educational sessions in the countries for sales, marketing and R&D teams on sustainable construction and eco-innovation;
Coordinate transversal projects (with marketing, R&D, EHS, purchasing… teams) to build and promote a more sustainable offer to our customers.
Create dedicated marketing and communication tools at central level, to be adapted in countries

Educational modules and games for the sustainability training program;
·
External communication supports (brochures, web content, digital app, etc.).
Pursue a regular watch on sustainable construction topics, relevant for the Gypsum and Insulation activities.
Contribute with relevant information from the Gypsum and Insulation activities to all existing Saint-Gobain communication channels (Twitter, Linkedin, website…) with sustainable construction topics (article, infography, videos…) with the corporate communication department
Define and follow-up key performance indicators in line with the Sustainable Habitat Group Strategy and Roadmap and specific to both activities.
