Job Description

The client vetting periodic review team of the Client management and Strategy group manages all client on-boarding requests for Natixis Americas business lines. The team is responsible for:

·  Perform due diligence to comply with internal KYC and AML policies
·  Retaining a risk aware mind-set and creation complete and clear customer profiles which address AML/KYC risks and concerns
·  Perform periodically scheduled due diligence reviews for low and medium risk clients for all Americas business lines.
·  Properly managing and tracking of compliance escalations in relevant matters/cases as needed
·  Maintaining their workload and pipeline and completing assigned cases in a timely manner with a high level of quality.
·  The KYC vetting analyst reports to the Client Vetting/Data Management manager and supports day-to-day activities to achieve these goals.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

·  Analyze and determine account documentation required based upon counterparty type and products traded as well as approving adequacy of account documentation and financial information received from prospective customers.
·  Analyze and review client documentation for accuracy based on internal KYC procedures.
·  Work closely with the Client Service/KYC Facilitation team to gather customer information and on-boarding documentation and keep the team informed of any escalations required or issues encountered in the client due diligence process.
·  Interact effectively with our Quality Control Function and correct any issues encountered in a timely and efficient manner.
·  Perform entity and individual screenings for negative news and PEP checks as well as internal “do not do business lists” via WorldCheck One.
·  Perform basic and standard due diligence for periodic reviews for all Americas business lines.
·  Escalate risks and issues to appropriate management to ensure on-boarding is completed correctly and efficiently as per KYC procedures.
·  Leverage centralized systems for data storage and upload required documentation to necessary systems as required.
·  Interact with the Compliance department as well as the Quality Control function to follow internal policies and procedures as well as adapting to changes in procedure or regulatory requirements as communicated.
·  Individual should be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and have strong communication, writing, and follow-up skills in order to assure assigned cases do not go beyond an acceptable processing time-frame.
·  Individual should have a risk and control mindset, strive for high quality standards and display strong analytical skills in KYC/CIP.
·  Work well independently with assigned cases and provide necessary updates and reporting as needed on assigned cases or broader team-wide initiatives as required by management. Effectively communicate with other peers within the group and be adaptable to a changing regulatory environment
·  Display strong collaboration and team-work skills to benefit a broader group and meet goals to ensure customers retain a valid vetting status during the periodic review process.
·  Be able to provide accurate statuses on a weekly basis on work performed and highlight any bottlenecks being encountered.
·  Assist the department manager in various tasks to harbor constant improvement.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

·  3+ years in KYC specific on-boarding related functions, performing direct KYC due diligence
·  Prior experience contributing to process/quality improvement projects within KYC/on-boarding.
·  Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
·  World Check, Banker's Almanac, Mint Orbis, and Lexis Nexis knowledge a plus.
·  A good sense of urgency and aptitude for multi-tasking, quickly identifying issues and escalating to the appropriate level for resolution.
·  French and/or Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
·  Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
·  Strong team mindset and collaboration
·  Ability to work as member of a team and self-motivate to work independently on assigned cases
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office
·  The ability to manage multiple priorities, working under pressure to meet deadlines, and the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment.
