Role Summary/Purpose
Provides leadership and support for the warehouse operations while driving lean culture through the organization. The position identifies and implements actions to improve process quality, as well as accelerating and support cultural change efforts aimed at achieving organizational goals.
Essential Responsibilities
· Lead
and manages activities associated with of the team while driving lean process
improvements.
· Responsible for assigned warehouse area for cost, service, compliance and safety through productively and performance metrics.
· Implementation
of procedures and SOP to insure inventory accuracy.
· Leading Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in
support of plant goals
· Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation concept throughout the receiving,
put-away, packing, picking and shipping processes
· Resolves
problems that prevent a timely and efficient handling of inbound and outbound
orders
· Leading Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in
support of plant goals
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years production, supply chain experience or leadership or High School diploma/GED and 7 years production or supply chain experience.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
· Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.
· Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement using lean in previous roles.
· Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System,
Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations
as they apply to this job type/position
· Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined
deadlines
· Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate
corrective action as required
· Maintaining full regulatory compliance and other legal requirements.
Desired Characteristics
· MBA
or Masters
· Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices.
· Demonstrated
progressive management experience in a warehouse/distribution operations
environment.
· Lean
Six sigma certification
· OMLP/ETLP graduate
