Role Summary/Purpose

The Sr. UX Designer has a focus on Interaction Design, and responsibilities to drive the user experience strategy for next-generation web and mobile solutions. The candidate will work in a cross-functional and global team with users and stakeholders, and will contribute to the effective documentation and communication of design - via user analysis, workflows, wireframes, leveraging User Experience principles and methodologies.
Essential Responsibilities

• Designs product or service behavior that creates business value for customers and GE, while meeting user needs and expressing product and corporate brand values.
• Successfully executes across multiple small to medium projects in a cross-functional environment.  
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of Agile / Lean UX methodologies. 
• Effectively documents and communicates design (via wireframes, mockups, and requirements engineering).  
• Researches and evaluates emerging design, technology, industry, regulatory and market trends. 
• Understands and articulates the groups point of view in broader context.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering (OR High School Diploma / GED with strong experience in IS, IT, or Computer Science)
• Strong experience in a usability role (research, visual, or interaction design
• Strong understanding of Agile/Lean UX methodologies 
• Strong Facilitation skills, leading in-person and remote teams in co-creation sessions, creating wireframes, workflows and prototypes. 
• Proven experience with Axure, Balsamiq, or other similar rapid prototyping tools. 
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background
