Role Summary/Purpose

You will be the primary IT operational contact for multiple equipment-test and lab environments. These environments contain a wide variety of technologies and specialized hardware and software. You will be the front line for the environment, working with a team of technologists to drive updates and refreshes and responding to incidents. Every day will be a new challenge and a new problem to solve. We need a creative, dynamic communicator with a broad understanding of IT technologies.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Provides technical leadership and operational support for planned releases, incidents, and issue resolution

·  Provides impact assessment and mitigation plan for changes going into the production environment

·  Drives continuous improvement of computer operational activities to maximize efficiency

·  Develops automated solutions to address potential problems before they result in a service interruption

·  Develops automated solutions to eliminate common or repetitive tasks

·  Leverages monitoring tools to resolve problems and identify systematic issues with the design and architecture of affected system(s)

·  Assists with development of availability measures that align with consumer experience to accurately assess the usability of crucial services

·  Possesses extensive experience and demonstrated mastery with multiple scripting languages

·  Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills
Qualifications/Requirements


Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and/OR a High school diploma with a minimum of
·  5 years of enterprise scale Linux environments

·  Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

·  Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance
Desired Characteristics

·  CompTIA Security+ certification

·  The ability to break down complex problems into components, and drive solutions

·  Ability to dissect and understand complex technology

·  Broad experience across a range of IT infrastructure

·  Experience with the configuration of network equipment

·  Hands on experience with test systems and data collection systems

·  Broad exposure to Windows and Linux environments

·  Active US government S / TS security clearance

·  Experience providing customer focus and supporting technology solutions
