Role Summary/Purpose

Oracle Project Accounting Functional Resource
- Key subject matter expert for Project accounting module covering both Project Costing and Project Billing
- Serves as direct liaison to functional process/product owners in order to translate and prioritize requirements as well as design solutions for assigned area.
- Act as liaison between Transactional Processing and Oracle Applications teams, driving solution delivery on projects and overseeing the resolution of agreed systems issues
Essential Responsibilities

- Responsible for analyzing business’ technical problems, requirements, needs, and objectives and relative to the Project Accounting space
- Assists the business in determining how business requirements can and should be met and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes
- Researches development in assigned technology, confirm business requirements, proposes changes, contributes/reviews technical design, performs Proof of concept (POC), and works closely with the central development team to drive development and unit testing of proposed design
- Maintains functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned area’s systems, organization, and business processes point of contact for business on a subject matter
- Provide application expertise for Finance and Accounting problems resolution
- Guide and support the business on the use, implementation and maintenance of Oracle e-Business Suite.
Qualifications/Requirements

- Experience implementing Oracle Project Accounting in Oracle R12.
- Understand how Project Accounting interacts with other Oracle modules.
- Deep understanding of autoaccounting and subledger accounting
- Expert experience and techno-functional knowledge in Oracle EBS R12 Financials modules
- Prior experience working on a global Oracle EBS R12 environment including multi-currency, multi-SOB
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Experience in supporting Oracle EBS interfaces with inbound and outbound systems
- Ability to articulate business and technical issues related to Oracle EBS Financials
- Ability to work independently on functional areas with minimal supervision
- Exposure to technical design and development of Oracle EBS extensions using PL/SQL
- Ability to work with technical teams and explain functional specifications
- Working knowledge of SQL*PLUS, SQL Developer, BI Publisher, SQL*Loader, Oracle Workflow is desired
Desired Characteristics

- Functional understanding of cross financial modules flows. Should be able to relate process flows to data model and structures.
- Implementation or support in manufacturing industry.
- Extensive interaction with the user community – both in terms of requirements analysis/gathering and post implementation support
- Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle; familiarly to scrum or Agile is desirable.
- Ability to build positive and professional business relationships across teams.- Exposure to multiple programming languages, basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage, and interfacing is desired.
