We are looking for a Software Engineer (m/f). Job Reference #3147160
Essential Responsibilities

With distributed power becoming a stand-alone business the IT function is re-integrating part of formerly outsourced shared services. We are looking for a self-driven Software Engineer to join the DP IT DevOps team supporting the transition to a stand-alone entity. The job will entail the defining, designing, implementation and support of web applications.

•Assess, translate and deliver backlog into an increment of releasable software

•Take over technical responsibility of individual solutions

•Create and execute documented test cases

•Ensures the software solutions are aligned with the architecture guidelines, principles and strategy as well as design and security standards

•Supports application deployments

•Ensures continued integrity of systems, and assist in post-implementation continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related subject or equivalent work experience

•Designing, developing and testing of enterprise web applications in Java

•Hands-on experience with Java 8, Spring Framework, JSP and Javascript

•Firm knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Angular

•Strong knowledge of RESTful-JSON/XML-API design

•Experience with profiling and application performance monitoring tools

•Fluent english

•A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)

Desired Characteristics

•Knowledge of tools like CVS, Git, SVN, Maven, Gradle, Eclipse, IntelliJ and Jenkins
•Experience in agile methodology like Scrum
•Hands on Experience on databases-design and -development 
•Aware of Stored Procedures, Packages and Functions
•Testing suite experience (Unit-, Integration-, Usability-tests)
•Strong analytical-thinking, problem-solving- and communication-skills
•Able to work in a global team and remote setup
•Good to have experience with scaling AWS web applications
