Role Summary/Purpose

·  Software development and maintenance of components, systems and networks for Oil&Gas Production Control Systems

·  Analyse user needs to design and code

·  Program control systems, applications, components and interfaces

·  Participate actively in design and code reviews

·  Work closely with the business unit, other engineering teams, vendors or customers to ensure application development meets product specification requirements
Essential Responsibilities

·  Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary.

·  Demonstrate the ability to help team members through pair programming and code reviews.

·  Demonstrates awareness about product positioning and differentiations.

·  Has the ability to evaluate basic technology choices and articulate tradeoffs.

·  Applies principles of SDLC and Lean/Agile/XP/TDD/CI/CD methodologies to deliver high quality, secured, and scalable software modules.

·  Skilled in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

·  Skilled in core data structures and algorithms and implements them using language of choice
Qualifications/Requirements

·  BSc/MSc in Controls Engineering or equivalent experience

·  Production Control Systems knowledge

·  Familiarity with the design tools like Wonderware InTouch, Rockwell ControlLogix, Siemens PCS7 or other SCADA and PLC systems

·  Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, Profibus, CAN, OPC)

·  Good English verbal and written communication skills

·  strong professional experience
