Role Summary/Purpose

Provides direct leadership and support for the implementation, development and direction of production teams. The position implements actions to improve product and process quality, as well as accelerating and support cultural change efforts aimed at achieving organizational goals. Supervises the Small Volume Liquid Media and Serum production team.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Monitoring and improving productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner

·  Developing and creating training plans to maximize workforce capability

·  Leading Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals

·  Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation

·  Manages staffing levels in order to meet business delivery and cost goals

·  Improving operating rigor and manufacturing processes

·  Coaching and developing direct reports to improve the culture of the team and site

Quality Specific Goals:

·  Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

·  Complete all planned Quality ; Compliance training within the defined deadlines

·  Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action asrequired

·  Maintaining full Quality System Regulation and Current Good Manufacturing Practices requirements

·  Maintaining full regulatory compliance and other legal requirements

·  Knowledge and understanding of production process Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications

·  Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHR
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor Degree with 2 years production, supply chain experience or leadership, or High School diploma/GED and 5 years production or supply chain experience, or GE Leadership Program employee or graduate.

·  Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.

·  Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.

Physical Requirements:

·  Frequently move, lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 50 lbs unassisted and occasionally lift/move weights greater than 50 lbs with assistance.

·  Frequently climb stairs and ladders.

·  Frequently squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, pivot and reach

·  Frequently use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, finger, handle and feel small objects

·  Ability to continuously stand or walk

·  Ability to wear protective equipment including clean room gowning, chemical resistant clothing, safety glasses/goggles

·  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus on objects
