Role Summary/Purpose
As a Process Design Engineer – CO2 Separation and Capture, you will develop and refine process simulations and conduct component level experimentation. You will be a part of a small team focused on validating a new product and bringing it to market.
Essential Responsibilities
In the role of Process Design Engineer – CO2 Separation and Capture, you will:
· Develop process simulations using ProMax and GT Power
· Develop code to represent specialized unit operations, integrate into ProMax
· Exercise models to optimize system design
· Interpret model results to specify components for a pilot plant
· Estimate CAPEX and OPEX of first-of-a-kind and nth-of-a-kind units
· Support laboratory scale experiments and component testing / qualification
· Analyze experimental results and data from pilot operation – tune the process model
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer or Materials Engineering from an accredited college or university
· Minimum 3 years of experience in process design
Eligibility Requirements:
· Travel 25% of the time, as required
· Work at site to support field experiments
