Essential Responsibilities

Alstom Grid LLC seeks Power Systems Software Engineer (multiple positions) to be responsible for the development, testing, integration, and tuning of advanced power systems application software. Develop power system features for electric utilities or independent system operators (ISOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs). Contribute to electricity market application development in the context of customer commercial projects. Ensure related software deliveries are on schedule, within budget, and meet customer requirements. Demonstrate best practices and high-quality software development processes. Write documents for new project tasks, such a design notes and testing procedures. Provide effort estimates to Project Manager and Project Engineer.
Qualifications/Requirements

Position requires Master's Degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering. Position also requires some academic or work experience with electricity market; optimization and Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP); software development; electricity transmission and
distribution grid systems; and power system analysis, operations and control.
