Role Summary/Purpose

The Applications Online Center Engineer role is a key component in of Ultrasound IT’s service strategy and is a critical role in ensuring our customers satisfaction. This role resolves issues raised by customers and field engineers, provides expert clinical/technical phone support to Ultrasound IT customers and field engineers to minimize customer downtime, while improving customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities

·  As part of the Ultrasound IT team, you will be joining a fast-growing global business responsible for Radiological and Cardiac Ultrasound Imaging, Information and Reporting Systems. 
·  You will work with Sales, Service Engineering, Product Engineering and field support specialists to improve product quality and resolve customer issues.
In addition, you will:
·  Ensure customer satisfaction
·  Assist with presales support of Ultrasound software and IT products
·  Provide technical and application support
·  Occasionally provide installation of IT product on-site and via remote access
·  Provide follow up customer training on-site and via web tools
·  Provide valuable input to new product development using your experience in resolving issues.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Associate's or a Registered Sonographer 
·  Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Operating systems, and Networking
·  Demonstrated history of technical problem solving and resolution, maintaining Ultrasound equipment or computer based medical equipment
·  Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the proven ability to effectively work with customers
·  Minimum of 5 years' clinical/ technical experience following certification with demonstrated clinical/technical skill in specific areas (i.e., for Ultrasound General Imaging, Vascular, Ob/Gyn) OR at least 3 years' commercial applications/modality experience with demonstrated successes in high level customer interactions and sales scenarios.
Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelors degree
·  A desire to learn technical skills
·  Experience with workflow in a hospital system
·  Experience with Ultrasound systems in a clinical environment
·  Multiple registries is a plus, with OB/GYN or Vascular preferred
·  PACS experience
·  Practical experience and knowledge of the ViewPoint Image Management and Reporting software
·  Solid problem solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)
·  Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)
·  Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve.
·  Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time
·  Willingness to be flexible/adapt to changing work environments.
Clinical experience in large hospital/university setting
·  Advanced certification/registries
·  Skilled in vascular sonography, pediatric cardiac echo
·  Experience on all current GE products for which responsibilities cover.
