Role Summary/Purpose

As a material handler, you are on the front line, making sure that all employees at our company receive deliveries in a timely manner, onsite events are set up for success, and labs have consumable material available. In this way, you will be seen as an important liaison between our employees, facility maintenance and the Community Services team, making sure that everyone gets what they need quickly and efficiently.
Essential Responsibilities

•You will play an essential role in developing standard work and ensuring material/equipment is moved in a safe and efficient manner.• Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork lifts • Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments • Process material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management system • Coordinate with on-site and/or off-site warehousing facilities for material storage • Coordinate with vendor for obtaining consumable parts for min/max inventory • Manage onsite storage rooms • Deliver packages to drop off locations • Maintains/reviews critical documentation necessary for recording, allocating and dispersing a variety of regulated materials • Develop standard work for warehouse operations • Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies • Read and follow work instructions and bills of materials • Execute CrowdComfort reports • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements

• High school Diploma or local equivalent • Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in local language • Proficient in basic mathematics • Ability to communicate well and work with others • Basic computer skills • Ability to consistently lift • Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment
Desired Characteristics

• 2 or more years experience in storing and material handling • Knowledge of computerized material flow methods • Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control • Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales
