Role Summary/Purpose

Working as part of a small team of medical instrument and consumables manufacturer, to coordinate, plan and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within internal production) according to production schedules.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Responsible for material ordering, availability, and scheduling to meet minimum inventory levels

·  Ensure systematic accuracy of inventory

·  Rescheduling materials for pull-ins (expedites) and push-outs (for inventory control)

·  Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution

·  Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: Packaging needs, min/max planning. PCNs, as they relate to old/existing parts, materials replenishment planning, root-cause problem solving

·  Support production and logistics to investigate and resolve material issues

·  Support material transfer, supplier reviews with Sourcing

·  Manage Phase-in / Phase-out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material

·  Support tool development for prediction of material issues

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with some experience in Manufacturing)

·  Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

·  Oracle knowledge & Experience

·  Proficient in Windows

·  Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage
