Role Summary/Purpose

The Material controller maintains strategic spare part in good condition at a defined level available at all
time for plant maintenance purpose.
The Material controller will interact with the C&I maintenance team ,Electrical maintenance team,
material controller, operation engineer, purchase officer as well as contractors.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Understand and implement GE O&M Procedure (PSQMS) requirement 
·  Review the plant spare part quantity and maintain required quantity 
·  Archive inventory physical count report available for auditing 
·  Spare part storage in a safe condition/location and 
·  Inspection and maintenance of spare parts, cleaning and relabelling as necessary 
·  Maintain quarantine area, inventory of material in the area 
·  Material received to be inspected, stored and inventoried securely 
·  Issued material recorded properly 
·  Maintain warehouse entering during off-working hour record
 Maintain good teamwork with power plant personal 
·  Co-ordinate with other departments and groups to ensure smooth team work 
·  Forward recommendations for the improvement of material control procedures to the Maintenance
Manager 
·  Waste handling in accordance with EHS policy 
·  Maintain a high safety conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all company
and legislative Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  A degree in any engineering field or relevant experienced 
·  At least two years experiences in warehouse control and shipping 
·  Experienced in a computerized Maintenance Management System or store management software 
·  Good knowledge of inventory and Material controlling practices 
·  Ability to read and speak the local language and communicate effectively in English.

·  Good interpersonal skills. 
·  Knowledge in spare part segregation. 
·  Knowledge of risk management techniques.
