Role Summary/Purpose
Second Stage in assembly process. Responsible for repairing, fine tuning and adding on the remaining small components to the motherboard. Typically requires looking through microscopes and using fine tools.
Essential Responsibilities
· Read work orders, follow production instructions, drawings or sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
· Perform all operations related to the production of electronic products, including preparing and installing components into printed circuit boards
· Solder wires and electronic components onto printed circuit boards using hand tools, power tools and other equipment (as required)
· Perform inspection of printed circuit boards assemblies, using a bench-magnifier or microscope, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards (e.g. IPC-A-610)
· Perform washing, and cleaning of electronic components and Printed Circuit Boards.
· Performs soldering/de-soldering operations.
· Familiar with automated optical inspection machine & x-ray
· Perform any other related duties as assigned
· Requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Company
Qualifications/Requirements
· Prefer a minimum 1 year of recent electronic manufacturing experience
· Familiarity with IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
· Familiarity with ESD and clean room electronic industry practices
· Completion of any electronic assembly training courses would be advantageous
· Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, as a team
· High paced manufacturing environment
· Must be able to read, understand and interpret written and/or verbal instructions and have good communication skills in English
· Ability to read and follow production drawings and instructions
· Good hand-soldering skills on PTH and SMT assemblies using lead-free alloys
· Detailed work requiring good eyesight, continuous fine motor skills and repetitive motion
· Ability to work on assemblies using a bench-magnifier or microscope
· Ability to adapt with changing priorities daily
· Lifting of a minimum of 25 is required (occasional, non-repetitive)
· Microsoft Offices tools such as Word and Excel
