Role Summary/Purpose
This position is responsible for providing project leadership and support to cross-functional, global teams that will improve GEHC import and export compliance, US import entry reconciliation process with Customs and Border Protection (CBP). As well as is responsible for leading the execution and compliance of all export shipments to Global Affiliates and customers, driving continuous quality, compliance and productivity improvements.
Essential Responsibilities
· Lead the Export team in the daily operations of export orders through the distribution and shipment process
· Support modality fulfillment teams to meet business goals & objectives
· Interact with global affiliates and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence & compliance
· Responsible for freight forwarder and 3rd party logistics provider relationships and processes related to exports
· Implement and maintain metrics, internal self audits & processes to ensure adherence to customs & GEHC export requirements
· Site Lead for International Trade Compliance, Trade Collaborator
· Drive continuous, digitization, productivity & compliance improvements
· Develop & maintain operational and compliance manuals and Standard Operating Procedures
· Perform internal audits of GEHC processes that impact compliant import activities
· Using Six Sigma methodology to develop rigorous project plans with milestones to ensure successful execution of process improvements
· Responsible for timely filing of import reconciliations with CBP
· Managing supplier billing and payment processes
· Providing import data analysis for various functions
· Liaison for CBP Preferential Trade Programs
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
· 1 - 3 years’ export regulations knowledge experience
Desired Characteristics
· Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Materials or Supply Chain Management from an accredited university
· Minimum of 5 years of operational logistics, import/export and/or customs expertise
· Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different counties and cultures
· Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization
· Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments
· Experience working in a compliant supply chain
· Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
· Oracle order management experience
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
· Proficient in English
